The Selection Series by Keira Cass

Book review

The selection series is a 15+ book series written by Kiera Cass. One of my friends had recommended this book to me, and she explained all of it in detail but there was always that certain suspense to it. Like you would never know what’s to happen next. This book is about a seventeen-year-old girl from Carolina, Illea. This story is based 300 years from now. It’s about America Singer. She's a young, independent woman, the middle child of 5. She’s brave, strong, and is amazing at playing instruments. She loves the outdoors and is extremely active. She's kind and hard-working; she might also be Maxon’s favorite! Shhh, don't tell anyone! It’s our little secret. This book is about how she ends up in the selection, to win the so-called arrogant prince's heart, by yours truly America Singer. Now that she’s been selected, what is she going to do? Will she stay with her first love, Aspen Ledger? Or will she marry the prince? That is for you to figure out.

What I like about this book series is that you're always hooked. No matter what, there's always that suspense, like will she survive? What’s going to happen next? OH NO!! I also liked how the characters are portrayed. I love the connection that Kiera Cass has with her characters. They have their own personality and quality traits that define them in, well, real life. They all are different and unique. The book has an interesting but fun storyline. It also has the cute Maxerica moment, which honestly, is so adorable.

There weren’t many things that I disliked. Honestly, I just don’t find interest in Aspen and America’s relationship. Mostly because I totally adore Maxerica. In this book, I wasn’t really able to pick up any flaws. I absolutely LOVE this book and would 100% recommend this book to whoever is willing to cry and be embarrassed about certain things that America does.

This book from me would definitely get a 4.5 star easily. It’s honestly just amazing. I loved the way that the author can connect with her characters and how easy it is for her to show how she knows her characters.

I would 100% recommend this teenage romance novel to anyone willing to read it, but maybe the age over 12 would certainly be better. Thank you for reading, and until next time.
